All policies have an uninsured driver promise protecting your no claims discount and no excess to pay if you're hit by an uninsured driver. Depending on the policy, there are extras you can add on to the policy to provide more protection.

Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Everything about dealing with saga is straightforward: from the first promptly answered phone call, to the details of cover in the documents. The staff at the CallCenter speak to me about insurance in language I understand, which is pretty remarkable in the insurance industry, in my experience. I completely understand the motor insurance cover that I am paying for and it is tailored to meet my needs. I have the full confidence that I can go anywhere in my car, safe in the knowledge that should something untoward happen, I will have someone to turn to who can resolve any issue satisfactorily, and without unnecessary worry on my part. I am particularly pleased in that I have fixed my motor insurance price for three years. I found this very attractive when renewing my motor insurance. I would have no hesitation in recommending saga to any one who is fed up with looking at comparison websites and then finding out that something is amiss in the small print. Loyalty misplaced.

After being loyal to the same insurance company for many years, and being ripped off for my loyalty, I Found Saga. They offered me a better product and at a price that was at least a third less than I was informed that the former company wanted for renewal. The person in Saga that I spoke to was helpful to friendly and informative. Saga keep me informed of motoring news as well as other products that I may be interested in.
