Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Saga made it easy to insure our vehicle.

I never thought I would be old enough to use Saga! Joking aside we tried Saga who provided a wider cover at a cheaper price than our previous insurer. The person on the phone was so helpful, it made the whole process painless. Reviewed on: 29th September 2021

I switched to Saga Car Insurance 18 months ago. They provided a more competitive price than my previous insurer, with slightly better levels of cover. I stayed with Saga at renewal. Great value cover for our little runabout
