Card renewal - bad practice

2 male operatives didn't give the correct information and the female operative tried her best but her boss has not deemed my complaint important enough to get back to me. I received a letter from Saga stating my credit card had expired and to ring them with new details. On giving the details of my card, immediate payment for my car insurance was taken from my bank account.At no time was I told this would happen and no one would cancel the payment which was not due for 3 another 3weeks. I was told to cancel it through my bank .They told me the payment was ",pending "so it couldn't be done and to go back to Saga. This practice should be made clear in their letter or by the operative before taking my card details. It has caused me financial embarrassment and disappointment as well 2hrs on the phone trying to deal with this..I will not be renewing my insurance with Saga next year for sure Reviewed on: 25th April 2023

Easy

Had to renew with other provider, they sent a renewal quote that had increased a lot so shopped around, when I phoned to cancel as I had found a better Quote, they the offered a reduction to beat the price (did not renew on principle) . So went with Saga as they offered the same price for 3 years saves having to change or look around and great cover at a good price. Reviewed on: 29th September 2021

Excellent Product And Service

I have my home and car insurance and breakdown cover with Saga and have done for years. Recently my father died and my disabled Mum is only able to get in and out of that car. The Saga customer service was excellent. They talked me through the options and advised the best insurance for me as a 2nd car. They also included breakdown cover and the total cost was far better than anywhere else. I really would not go anywhere else. Reviewed on: 29th September 2021
