Lost hearing aid

I am only able to hear in one ear which requires a hearing aid (private) because National Health hearing aids are not suitable, I have a particularly severe hearing loss, and when I lost it at a Garden Centre I did all I could to inform them of my loss and encourage them to search for the item, which is very small. I did this on two occasions once when I realised the aid was lost and once again in the morning to ensure that they had searched. They did search, but declared that the vacuum cleaner was industrial and there would be no problem hoovering it up . I immediately informed Saga and stated that such was my hearing loss that I required the hearing to be supplied by my Audiologist who could issue me a replacement within 24 hours any weekday. This was vital because this back up enables me to be able to hear which is not possible without a specialist aid. Your service was superb, I arranged for the original details of purchase through my audiologist to be forwarded to Saga and a cheque was very promptly dispatched and a replacement aid able to be supplied without delay. Exceptional service from your company you are highly rated in my opinion. I also hold motor insurance with your Company who dealt with a no blame case very quickly, and a replacement car was delivered promptly. Reviewed on: 28th September 2021

Helpful Call Taker

The call taker advised me that my coverage included legal services and in conversation I explained that my wife had recently sustained a broken hip when nursing staff in the hospital she was in did not raise the rails on the side of her bed.
