I had received other quotes from well known travel insurance companies for the over 60's but when I rang to check on the cover I wanted, the price escalated. Holiday cover after Cancer

I required travel insurance for a holiday to aid my recuperation as had recently undergone treatment for cancer. Even though my treatment was successful and I was now cancer free with no further treatments required, I was refused cover from most companies or was quoted sums which were more than the cost of the holiday! Thankfully Saga asked the right questions to understand my personal circumstances and were able to offer me cover at a more reasonable price. However I could only be offered single trip cover for the same price I usually pay for multi trip annual policy, but at least I had cover. Reviewed on: 28th August 2026
