Less attractive than it was, but rewards can still be worthwhile

I've held the 123 account for quite a while now, and after some initial teething problems I have been very happy with Santander's service and product offer. The increased fees and lower interest rates that have been introduced in recent months have made me look at whether I would be better off elsewhere, but I think on balance it is still a good account for me. I often use the retailer cashback offers and this improves the return on this and the 123 credit card that I also hold. Overall I am happy with Santander and would recommend them. easy to set up OK return although, not as good as previously, great internet access though.

reasonable interest on a large sum

Although not the highest rate about it pays interest on up to £20,000 making it in my opinion a better bet than having lots of accounts with smaller amounts of money to moniter Reviewed on: 11th December 2016

Decent Interest Rates

Really good although the product is changing...

Really like the account, gives you access to preferential savings accounts, ISAs etc however the interest rate on the 123 Current account is going down and I need to investigate whether its worth keeping the account. Reviewed on: 29th November 2016

Lured people in with 3% interest then dropped it

My happy that they dropped their interest rate. Plus they are crazily bureaucratic - won't stop sending me statements for an account with £0 in it even though I have requested they stop because I haven't put it in writing! Reviewed on: 29th November 2016

excellent customer service

I have recently opened the 123 account. Kept informed of the progressed of opening the account. The changeover of accounts went without any problems. When visiting local branch staff are friendly. Reviewed on: 29th November 2016
