I've had my mortgage with the Scottish Building Society for a number of years. Everything has gone so smoothly. On the one occasion I needed to contact them, to arrange an overpayment, their customer service was brilliant. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

I just like them and I felt the need to say it.

I just like them and I felt the need to say it. I like how I'm not trying to tell a robot what I am calling about. I like the wait times when I call usually less than 30 seconds. I like how simple it is to renew my mortgage on to a new deal when my current one expires. Some of the advisors speak Scottish so there can be a bit of a language barrier but other than that friendly, quick and just really good. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2025

Clearer Information Please

Generally fine however it would have saved some confusion if in the mass of paperwork there was a summary sheet stating the amount the fee how the fee would be paid and explanation that the first payment is for the first two months and when it would be taken. All this information was obtained but only by contacting the Building Society and speaking to a helpful representative Reviewed on: 22nd January 2025

Outstanding SBS mortgage service.

Both Jackie Simpson Lending Manager and Kay Baird Mortgage Adviser were both exemplary in the comprehensive, informative and thoroughly professional manner in which they carried out their work in relation to switching mortgage products at SBS. Their calculated, flexible approach in treating applicants individually was most accommodating and tremendously refreshing in today's predominantly technical decision making age.
