Steer clear!.

Absolute joke of a pet insurance company. Took weeks and weeks to try and make up an excuse not to pay out on a claim, even going against experienced veterinarians factual information and advice. Will 100% not be recommending scratch and patch to anyone. Reviewed on: 31st July 2025

Unfortunately during the insurance period my dog was...

Unfortunately during the insurance period my dog was diagnosed as diabetic. To establish this different tests needed to be carried out and as a result she needs regular insulin, plus a side affect of developing cataracts and going blind as a result and needing eye care. Once all medical history enquiries were made via our vets there was no issue in processing claims. I only once encountered an unfriendly/abrupt member of staff but other than that the staff that I spoke to were really helpful and professional. I didn't renew my policy purely as the premium was high, however, I have continued to insure my other dog with the company as I'm confident that an claims would be dealt with promptly and fairly. I would recommend Scratch & Patch if you are looking for a genuine honest approach to caring for your pet. Reviewed on: 28th July 2025
