Find any possible excuse not to pay out, if the vet needs to use an expert to get blood results they only pay £150, our dog was getting tested for cancer and needed bliss, theses amount to over £400 for expert advice so we could an informed decision on next steps. Reviewed on: 24th July 2025

German Shepherd care

I have had two German Shepherds insured with Scatch & Patch. Sadly the first passed away and Scratch and Patch were so sympathetic and helpful when making a claim. The second has just undergone MRI scan and again excellent service from Scratch and Patch. The staff go above and beyond to help. Easy to talk to and quick to proceed with claims. VETERINARY NURSE support, when I called about my dog Ted. Claim Form sent by post a few days later. Submitted claim with vets report. Claim paid out in full minus policy excess. All within a few weeks. You can't get better service than that. Reviewed on: 11th February 2018

PHONED VETERINARY NURSE WHEN PET FIRST ILL, SHE GAVE PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. CLAIM FORM CAME WITHIN A FEW DAYS ALSO CONFIRMATION BY EMAIL. WAITING FOR VET BILL TO BE PAID. WILL RIGHT DETAILS OF OUTCOME FOR FINAL REVIEW ( REF TED DORKING.) Reviewed on: 16th January 2018
