Best current account I have had in years.

The functions and overall system of starling is fantastic, really easy to use and transfer money between accounts. I have used it abroad several times as well and it's been fantastic, would always recommend. Reviewed on: 26th March 2022

Simple and highly effective

I was wary about moving from traditional banking to app-based, but it has been a revelation. Starling's app is simple to use, responseive and keeps me right up to date with my finances, as well as offering features that go way beyond what I used to be able to enjoy, including saving spaces, flexible overdraft and contactless limits, card freezing. Their customer service has also been highly responsive, solving problems quickly and painlessly on the few occasions I have had to use it (most of which was not even their fault). Secure, flexible, a balance displayed on signing in, keeps me up to date with spending.

I like the way it informs you of any transactions immediately, so you are aware of a fraudulent purchase and can turn your card off promptly, I am in control of my card, great to use abroad, transferring money is simple and quickly arrives in the account, great little bank have been with you for 3 1/2 years now . Starling is Sterling

I am an Indian citizen who came to work in London with a job offer from NHS last year. With all relevant documents and proofs and with atleast 2 letters of recommendation from one of the largest NHS hospital trusts, I was rejected an account at HSBC and Barclays. Even after contacting them multiple times - no help..i couldn't even get in touch with HSBC. So i was working on no salary for 2months. . I never had an experience with a completely online bank.. but still I thought will take my chance and applied for starling account and believe it or not , 5th day I had an account started. No other questions asked. Got my card 3 days later. And rest is history. The app is really intuitive and useful and staright forward unlike other banks. From my advice , Starling is the way forward. And I definitely recommend it to all new arrivals in UK. Which i have already done. Am sure Starling is going to bag the best bank this year as well and many more years to come.
