I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Able to breathe again

I suffer from bipolar so my debt was occurred due to this.it spiralled out of control. It got so bleak that I didn’t know where to turn . I heard about stepchange from one of my creditors and that one phone call changed my life . I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done to set the ball in motion , setting up affordable realistic payment plans where I have more than £10 a week for essential things like bills & food . Life changing

The people at Stepchange are extremely helpful and respectful in what was a horrible time for me last year. I had spent months worrying and struggling with my debt I couldn’t see a way out. Someone told me about Stepchange. I had to pluck up courage to ring so happy I did. They helped with my debt and I’m paying it back at a rate I can afford.
