Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Debt Can Be Managed Stress Free by 'Changing Step'

The advisers are excellent, patient and knowledgeable, aware they deal with people highly stressed by the pressure of being in debt and unable to cope with all aspects of managing it. The second time will hopefully be the last!

This “unfortunately” is the 2nd time I’ve used Stepchange over the years. I find them to be utterly professional and their on line tooling extremely easy to complete/use. The feeling you get knowing that your debt is being repaid back but in a manageable way is awesome, literally a weight off your shoulders. I’m looking forward to being debt free is a short few years and not a complaint in sight from anyone during the first 18 months of my plan. Would highly recommend. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

I could find no way out of my crisis!

I was deeply in debt with credit and store cards and could not longer meet my payments. I am a pensioner and just didn’t know how to resolve this.
