Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Excellent support

Step Change "My Saviours"

I mistakenly got into debt a few years ago (I now know it was wrong but it happened) I eventually came across Step Change and I never looked back since contacting them, they were so understanding and caring from the moment I called them on the telephone they worked out all the details of my debt problems and came back with an affordable plan to start repaying my debts, I started repaying what I owed in 2018 and through Step Change I was debt free by the end of 2024, yes it was a difficult time but through them I persevered and I have never regretted it, my problems had started with spending on credit cards and did come to the problem of not being able to keep up my repayments to the card companies, after contacting Step Change I've never looked back and now do not have any credit cards whatsoever and now do not owe anyone a penny, if you do find yourself in a situation like mine DO CONTACT STEP CHANGE you will not regret it. Step Change most probably saved my life.

Right, so if you are considering Step Change you must be in financial bother. You know exactly how it feels, you know how overwhelmed you feel and how it affects your life and your family. It is horrible. Step Change was and still is an amazing light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone was amazing, understanding, non judging and very helpful. They helped is create a plan and not only got us on a path to be out of debt but brought our life back on track where the debt payments were not killing us every month. I sincerely recommend.
