Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Have been able to regulate my finances. Dealing with my debtors. Relieving me of that stress. They stand as middlemen for me. Not to worry about the creditors as long as I pay the amount Step One worked for me. They are doing this very effectively. Their customer service is very good. They handle your case with very much understanding. Suggests reasonable means you can deal with your situation. They are indeed very helpful. It was such a relief when I contacted StepChange.

It was such a relief when I contacted StepChange. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff and helped me with a Debt Management Plan. I am now some way in to this plan. It has been hard living within the budget but I have managed. I am now in the last year and looking forward to being debt free. I cannot thank StepChange staff enough for their help.
