I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Fantastic service

I’d spent years struggling, and feeling ashamed because I was struggling, and I eventually reached breaking point. That’s when I turned to Step Change for help and I wish I’d done it sooner. They have been incredibly supportive, everyone that I’ve spoken to has treated me like a decent human being, my mental health has improved and I can now see light at the end of the tunnel. Getting rid of sleepless nights

They showed me a light at the end of a very long dark tunnel

Dealing with a pandemic was bad enough but then working in aerospace industry that has been impacted hugely I was furloughed for over 8 months and my wage was cut in half for the whole time. Financially I didn't know which way to turn I was fine picking up my Norma wage but picking up furlough wage just wouldnt pay my bills.
