Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Excellent service

Such a relief

Step change have changed our lives, they took care of everything with creditors and set up an affordable and stress free payment to pay off debts which had spiralled out of control. I don’t know what we would have done without them and we will never get in that situation again. We are so great full that there is a service that helps people like us when needed. Best company

When I contacted step change I felt I was at my lowest point, I was scared that I'd be judged because of my debts. How wrong I was, the advisor was kind and understanding and made me feel at ease, we had an in-depth conversation and compiled all the information together, the advisor kept me informed at every point of what they were doing sent me emails to remind me of what I needed to do as, due to my poor health and surgeries my short term memory is the worst,. By the end of the consultation I was relieved and actually felt proud of myself as I was no longer burying my head in the sand. Step change send me a statement every month, my repayments are manageable, they even sent me template letters to send to the debtors that couldn't be included and they completed an application on my behalf to "breathing space" which, until my initial contact with the company, I knew nothing about! I have already recommended step change to friends and family, and for the first time in what feels like forever, I can see a distant light at the end of the very dark tunnel I was in. Very good advisors

i had to come to stepchange when i got in a lot of debt due to being scammed by crypto scammers ,it was such a relief to talk to such knowledgeable caring people who were so good at sorting things out ,they got the banks to allow breathing space ,and it was a big relief and weight lifted of my shoulders,then they set up a manageable payment plan ,thank you Stepchange. Excellent, highly recommended if in debt

I was at my wits end , didn’t know where to turn due to rising debts. Step change supported me in getting my finances in order and once I gave them all the details they contacted the companies and set up a payment plan . This took so much stress off me. My mental health was hugely impacted as didn’t know what to do one phone call and then completing the form sorted this out for me and felt back in cony.
