Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

One of the best services I’ve ever know

I’ve known about step change for many years I used to sign post YMCA Residents to them for help over ten years they have helped so many people help change their lives financially helping take back their control of living debt free .I my self have use their sevices helping through a very tough patch in my life .I can truely recommend them together with their love and understanding of your situation without any judgment ,,they really are one of the best today ?May God bless them moving forward .Terry Reviewed on: 26th May 2025

Best choice I made

In a year of being on a DMP with step change I’m in a much better position and feel like I’m finally in control of my debts. Would highly recommend to anyone who is struggling, the customer service has been beyond anything I expected everyone I have spoken to has been understanding and supportive and have helped take away the feeling of being ashamed. I was in a bad place.

I was in a bad place. I had made the mistake of borrowing money in order to clear debts and using credit cards to live. The more I paid off one set of debts the more another new set grew. Stepchange were understanding, nonjudgmental and made a world of difference. They made me realise I was not the only one in similar situations and came up with an action plan that allows me to pay off my debts and live as well.
