Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Simply life changing

I had debts of around £40k, paying over £1000 in monthly payments. Step change reduced these payments to around £350per month, allowing me to pay my bills and live my life - thank you!! Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

Great Stepchange team

When I first contacted them, I was a little skeptical; I wasn't expecting such a service. It wasn't easy, but with their help, I'm paying back what I owe. They helped me so much, and I still remember the conversation I had with the operator. It was a fantastic experience; they don't judge you, and they work with you to find the right solution.
