Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Let stepchange change your life.

I was completely overwhelmed, felt like there was no way out, then someone recommended Stepchange. They completely changed my life. I have since recommended them to a family friend. Though there are lots of questions to answer and it seems a lot to do it is well worth the effort for the peace of mind. Professional and friendly help when needed most

When unexpected life events meant could no longer afford the debt levels I had, Stepchange were able to provide options, detail the ways forward and work with the creditors to ensure that things were as easy to sort out as they could be. This helped reduce stress and allowed me to concentrate on sorting out the issues that had caused the problem in the first place. From feeling at the lowest point in my entire life. Not able to see a way out of the financial mess I was in, sleepless nights, dreading the post, ignoring the phone calls - to how I am feeling now 18 months after contacting StepChange is a million miles apart.
