Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Stepchange are worth contacting!!

Due to various life events I have been supported by Stepchange twice. 2 of the best decisions I have ever made were when I reached out to Stepchange. Stepchange are fabulous!! They make a stressful time, much easier to navigate. It will be tough but so much more manageable with Stepchange to support you. After feeling so low about my finances that I had nowhere to go for help stepchange took over they contacted all my creditors and made an affordable payment plan, I was in tears on the phone to an advisor who made me feel like something was listening , the massive weight I was carrying seemed to feel a little less as heavy . I would instantly recommend.

Whenever I have spoken to anyone at Step Change they have been incredibly understanding, non judgmental, knowledgeable, helpful and above all reassuring. I would advise anyone who is struggling with debt to at least speak to Step Change, they have done wonders for me in terms of sorting out my debt & informing me, and with this the improvement on my mental health has been incredible.
