Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Make the call, you will not look back!

Call StepChange and become stress free.

Autism and discalculia together with lockdown and losing employment left me unable to keep control of my finances. Stepchange staff were incredibly helpful in patiently dealing with me until there was a plan in place. Stepchange helped me massively.

Stepchange helped me massively, as I walked away from a job through bullying in work place..so my bills wernt going to get paid , stepchange helped with health support and money ,contacting people sorting what was most important...complete weight lifted from shoulders...easy affordable payments set out then when I got another job increased payments...can't thank them enough helped me get back on track.
