Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I was in debts and i was worried every day .

I was in debts and i was worried every day .i stayed in abusive relationship because of that but when my bank advised to contact Stepchange i was not sure if they help people like me but the call i made change my life ,they have helped to manage to pay my debts .now i am independent and enjoy time out with my granddaughter.Stepchange is great and people are nice and patient on phone Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025
