Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Ask for help from the best

They have been there for me through all the dark times. Seven years ago my husband died they guided me through all the paperwork and got me on an affordable plan. In October this year I will be debt free. Remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Very helpful

The place for Debt Management

When I was desperate and couldn't find a way out of my financial mess, StepChange came to the rescue. They walked me through my debts, explained clearly how they would proceed and dealt with all the paperwork required to set up a repayment plan with my creditors. I was kept fully informed and felt a weight lifted from my shoulders. Annual reviews ensure I am on top of things and they are always there for a chat with help and guidance as required.
