Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Act as soon as your debts keep you awake.

I put off asking for help for far too long. As soon as I spoke to StepChange I regretted not doing it much earlier. StepChange was supportive while being open and honest about my choices. Its not been easy but it has been successful. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

Brilliant company highly recommend

Great charity!

I received great service from Step change They helping me get out of my debts and made my life less stressful I got one monthly payment which they transfer fairly to all my creditors Now I got enough money left for every day spending so don't have to worry anymore that i might be struggling weeks before next pay day Everything dealt with online which is good because sometimes it might be embarrassing talk about money worries with other people I would definitely recommend them to anyone who got lots of debts and struggling to pay on time Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

Life savers

I went to step change when my debts had got out of control they have literally saved me by helping me with a debt management plan with yearly reviews and progress reports I've been able to clear my debts slowly and with great advice. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
