Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Hats off to the societal benefit ....

We were really struggling & juggling with mounting financial costs of our maxed out credit cards and we felt we were trapped in a vicious capitalist cycle in which we were barely paying off ever increasing interest cost while the principle amounts remained the same. StepChange offered nothing less than a fresh air of new life for us. It significantly improved our finances but more importantly our mental wellbeing and mutual relationship. best thing i ever did

Step Change are an amazing organisation

Having been the victim of a sophisticated scam and lost large amounts of money, I turned to Step Change who from the outset were absolutely fantastic. I can't recommend them enough. I can finally breathe again

A massive relief
