Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Excellent Debt Company

I HIT ROCK BOTTOM WITH SO MUCH DEBT.

One phone call helped me to calm down my worries and see a solution to my financial situation, The advisor talked me through setting up a realistic budget and a payment plan that would take a lot of the stress away from me as I was beginning to think I would lose everything. StepChange are lifesaver.

With StepChange all my payments go to reducing my debts unlike others who charge a fee. They deal with all the creditors which reduces stress as all the threatening letters stopped. I can see my debts reducing and how much I owe. The portal is easy to use. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

They really make it easy.
