Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

The best thing I ever did was to contact them. My life is so much happier now, knowing I haven't got to worry about how I'm going to pay my bills. I used to work with people who had barriers to employment and often they would have debt problems. Whenever I approached StepChange for assistance they were respectful, efficient and found solutions giving my clients peace of mind for the first time often in a long time allowing them to move forward to a better quality of life. From first contact when I felt out of control and very depressed they spoke to me like I was human and that I mattered they helped me sort all my debts out so that now I am not working everyday to pay they and not getting anywhere. Live saver.

They take the stress of dealing with mounting debt and trying to juggle different companys correspondence before you sink. Also recommended by company’s you deal with so this makes it a lot easier.
