Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Best thing I ever done!

It was so stressful to contact and admit I needed help but as soon as I spoke to them they made me at ease with everything and just helped me with anything I needed it’s been a weight lifted these past few years and now I will be debt free next year finally so I’m just so happy thank you Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

Life Changing Experience

StepChange were absolutely fantastic at sorting out my credit card and Loan debts. I am now on a monthly repayment plan with all my creditors making the whole financial situation manageable. This removed all the major stress levels and allowed us to move on with our lives and not having to worry about what may be coming through the door. As long as you stick with your plan and review your financial situation once a year with StepChange your life will become a great deal easier. I cannot thank step change enough for their help and advice . So kind and understanding . I have worked all my life from 15 years of age and in my 60s my health deteriorated ending up unable to continue the job I loved . Worrying over how I was going to continue paying credit cards etc I was put into contacting step change , I have never looked back after the worry lifted and with their help I could now have peace of mind .
