I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

Professional, helpful, reassuring and honest service

We fell into difficulties due to changes of employment. We struggled on for some time but reached a point where we were borrowing money from one source to pay another, paying only the minimum on our credit cards and quickly sinking. By contacting Step Change we finally had someone who could help us without judgement. Our payments have become manageable, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and we have a point of contact to talk to is we have any worries. Reviewed on: 5th May 2024

StepChange debt management.

I approached StepChange about debt management. I was given all the information and advice without pressure or judgement. There was no rush. I went through everything and all questions answered and my fears were laid to rest. After a number of years worrying and talking to some uncaring creditors I found a solution to my stress and debts. Now I can breathe. It doesn’t stop there, I have had concerns in the time I’ve had the plan and they are always there to help time after time. Reviewed on: 5th May 2024

Don't Give up Call Step change.

Step change turned my life around thank you. Debit is a real problem and for some people can have bad mental health effects. Don't despair Step change are experts and always have your best interests at heart.. They are also free of charge. Reviewed on: 5th May 2024

Supportive and professional .

My most recent experience was when I had to telephone them, due to a slight change in my circumstances, which had affected my debt management plan. They were kind, professional, respectful and caring, they listened with compassion, did not make any judgement and offered me options - giving me their professional advice but still allowing me the choice to make a decision. Life Saver

I did not know where to turn when I realised the money I owed, how was I going to pay it back. I told a relative, and he suggested StepChange. I got in touch with them, eventually decided a monthly payment. Took a long time to finish, but the ending was fantastic I was finally free of debt. Reviewed on: 4th May 2024
