Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I was so overwhelmed and feeling really stressed as I just couldn’t afford to pay all my debts each month. I was borrowing from family and having to pay them back each month when I got paid, but was stuck in this cycle for over a year before someone suggested I contact Stepchange. Setting up the payment plan was easy because the people you speak to are so helpful and offer great advice about how you can budget to make payments and still have money to live. I was totally manic about my bills when my husband died. I was referred to your company by a friend. I’m so absolutely happy I did. StepChange Helped Me Breathe Again

StepChange has really helped me get back on top of my finances. Things are still a bit tight, but I no longer have to make large payments I can’t afford, which is a huge relief. There were a few delays at the start due to missing reference numbers, and I did have to chase things up a bit. However, overall the service was helpful and well-handled. I’d recommend them to anyone struggling with debt. Their guidance gave me a sense of direction during a stressful time, and I finally feel like I can breathe again financially. I was overwhelmed with my debt and couldn’t keep up...

I was overwhelmed with my debt and couldn’t keep up with even all the minimum payments but with stepchange I have management to take control of my debt and will be debt free by next year which I though would never happen!
