Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

EXCELLENT EMPATHETIC SERVICE.

I have never been in debt in my life and was overwhelmed by the cost of an unexpected funeral on top of the cost of living crisis. I was worried and confused and it was only after talking to one of the many helpful understanding Step Change advisors could I see any way out of my situation He was very caring, empathetic and understanding and discussed the various ways available. On every occasion I have needed to ring Step Change without fail I have received excellent advice in a friendly easy-to- understand way. It’s a big relief
