Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

They take the stress of dealing with mounting debt and trying to juggle different companys correspondence before you sink. Also recommended by company’s you deal with so this makes it a lot easier. listened no judging wish I’d turned to them sooner

When I was in trouble financially stepchange were kind and understanding acknowledging that it didn’t take much to be in that position and that it’s not always your fault. I felt listened to without being judged and they handled everything for me. When I paid it all off myself and contacted them they supplied me with the proof I needed. I wish I’d gone to them sooner. So glad we found Stepchange
