Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

It's been great so far... Should be debt free by 2030

It's been great so far, got sorted with a payment plan, and hopefully I'll be debt free by the end of the decade. Set up was straight forward, and they were really helpful on the phone when I had any questions. Reviewed on: 15th May 2024

My life is back on track and thriving As a mum

I contacted step change because I was exhausted and depressed trying to manage my debts it was literally like borrowing here to pay another bill, so as you can imagine a vicious cycle until they managed everything for me.
