I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had bro...

I turned to step change in 2020 my marriage had broken down , and I was left with a lot of debts so I owed about 16000, at the time, iv been able to put all my debts as one payment, so far iv payed just over 6,000 pounds in the last 5 years I'm glad I did turn to step change, they have helped me sort out my debts and now iv been able to sleep at night Reviewed on: 24th May 2025

I contacted StepChange debt management after I disclosed to my partner my financial situation. From the moment I contacted the charity I felt like a huge wait had been lifted from my shoulders. They were so supportive and contacted all my debt company’s on my behalf. They put together a payment plan that I could afford. It’s been almost 6 years but in October this year I will be debt free.i can’t thank them enough, they do an amazing job. I couldn’t be where I am now without there help and support. The only people I’d recommend with debt

I was terrified of my debt and when I turned to Stepchange I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I got was kind, constructive and positive support when - and how - I needed it most. Also, they aren’t like the cowboys who charge you for the service. As a charity they support you without adding to your debt. I can’t praise them enough. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

Life-savers. Don't delay in asking them for help.

I found out about stepchange when I was in a very difficult situation struggling with debts. From the very first call until this day (it's been quite a few years) they made me feel less worried and are always kind and helpful. They've taken charge so I don't need to deal with the stressful letters and calls anymore. I can focus on my poor health instead. They've been life-savers I cannot recommend them more strongly.
