Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Stepchange are life savers

I called stepchange after my husband lost his job and we were so stressed and scared how we were going to manage our debts. The staff at stepchange were amazing. So knowledgeable and calming to with me. I came off the phone feeling happier knowing I had a solution to my debt problem and I wasn’t going to lose out house. Every call I’ve made the staff have been friendly and helped me sort myself out. Helpful, informative and friendly service

I was really nervous about reaching out and dealing with my debt but step change were really reassuring and helpful in getting me started as well as providing support when completing the forms. Over the phone and via emails they have always remained professional and helpful. Step Change, a painless debt management process

I was lumbered with a £25k personal debt when my business went bust 18 years ago. Step Change guided me through negotiating with creditors and planning the repayment process, making it a relatively painless process.
