Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Help when needed most

There during a really difficult time

Stepchange were there for me during a really difficult time. Life circumstances changed overnight and they helped to take the financial pressure off while I felt with the situation. Reviewed on: 29th May 2025

Can't rate them highly enough!

After getting myself overwhelmed with debt and needing to find a way out, I contacted StepChange. I did it all online (you can call or do it all online), and was given sound advice and help i didn't even know was available. They arent pushy, giving you the best advice for your own circumstances, they don't push IVAs like some other companies do if that isn't right for you. And they are easy to contact if you need further help. Would highly recommend these people to anyone struggling with their finances!
