It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish.

It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish. It took 8 days in total. I'm sitting here now a lot happier than I was 3 weeks ago. They put me forward (against their recommendation) for a DRO, which was passed 2 weeks ago, and because I have their backing, I have been able to liaise with my creditors a lot easier, and they have actually helped me due to my underlying health issues. Thank you to them all from Stepchange and also Money Wellness (the people who organised my finances and submitted my DRO application) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. My time speaking to people at Step Change

Worried myself to actually being sick! So very nervous an scared to call as until I broke many bones I was a manager earning much more than now pips/pension But I need not have worried cus each person I spoke an cruel to were so very lovely and kind to me They actually made my self esteem grow so I didn’t feel worthless bout asking for help! Really don’t know how I would be now if hadn’t called them! Approchable friendly and understanding

Breathing Space

Before contacting Step Change, I felt like I was drowning in debt. I honestly was beside myself. I went onto the Step Change website not knowing what lay ahead. I filled out a straight forward form with about my situation. After a few days Step Change got back to me with a Debt Management Plan. For a fixed sum each month all of my creditors will be paid. I feel so relieved that I won't be being hounded by these companies now. Step Change has given me a lifeline. The best help and support!

Setting up a DMP with Stepchange was so simple, the website was very user friendly and all the steps were straightforward. There's no need to be on the phone for hours anymore as almost everything you need to do/change/update/give more details on, can all be done via the website or email. They remind you about additional steps you can take such as breathing space but you don't receive constant reminders or pushy emails and you can take the application at your own pace so you don't feel rushed. All my options, pros and cons were laid out clearly to help me make the best decision based on my personal situation.
