Easy and great cover

I liked the wording of there policy as covered all I needed and at a reasonable price. Did not give 5 stars as never received the tesco club card points. Reviewed on: 17th July 2018

13 months and claim still unresolved!

May 2017 and a pipe burst in my mother's home. The damage was extensive. The repairs required were a joinery repair. Some plastering, a redecorate and new carpets. To date the decorating and carpets have still yet to be done! Cunningham Lindsey who act on Tescos behalf have been absolutely dire, ignoring emails. All excess matters were met and settled. A really poor service and set up. We are now going to involve the Financial Ombudsman. Reviewed on: 25th June 2018

Great until you need to make a claim

After paying insurance faithfully each month, I tried to claim for damage due to stormy weather. They dragged things on for months trying to disclaim every point. Even after speaking to my contractor, they twisted his words and are refusing to pay out. Disgusted at the way we were treated and the poor outcome. Reviewed on: 30th May 2018

Obscene price hike.

I have tesco home insurance for years have never claimed and nothing in my home has changed and today 2/5/2018 i was quoted a renewal price if £ 602.00 what was last years price £177.52 the reason they said they no longer have the underwriter who covered my policy I'm appalled at the £423.48 price increase. Home insurance claim

I had a leak for waste pipe in January. Moved to a hotel in feb for 7 weeks and job still not sorted. Keep getting passed back to loss adjusters to assist and they have also been a nightmare. Moved home last wed as had enough and currently living in a bathroom nightmare with a 15 yr old. No one will help, keep getting passed from pillar to post. Would I use you again? No... I pay you my premiums but yous couldn’t give a toss! My family has been living like pigs! Reviewed on: 3rd April 2018

They got everything wrong during a house move , v poor service

Tesco cancelled my insurance with 3 days notice, over a weekend, because they incorrectly believed the house had been empty for 6months They had inputted a date on their computer incorrectly as It was actually only 5months and I had the paperwork to prove it. The house sale was completing in 2 weeks and I was forced to re-insure with another insurer just to cover the last 2 weeks of ownership , on a Saturday when most brokers were closed . All v stressful. I got my apology from them for their mistake in the end but only after they dug out transcripts of my telephone call. Ludicrously poor service to the extreme and such stubbornness or to accept their own error Reviewed on: 30th September 2017

Following a paint spillage I had to make a claim on my insurance (the first one in about 20 years). I rang up the claims dept at Tesco and was expecting 101questions and realms of paper work - I couldn't have been more wrong. The lady I spoke to was friendly and sympathetic, she dealt with everything over the phone and my claim was sorted and settled within a week :) Reviewed on: 30th September 2017
