Excellent

We have a buy-to-let with the Family Building Society. Recently our situation changed and we spoke with Linda to discuss the change in our situation, and explaining our needs. We were pleasantly surprised we were listened to, and our banker sought a solution. A day later she contacted us with the news that our request was not only heard but approved. Common sense, logic, compassion and a sense of old world relationship banking in a world driving towards remote banking. We would highly recommend the FBS to anyone who cares about a relationship with their banker. Reviewed on: 21st June 2022

A personal touch that makes all the difference

It was our first experience of using the FBS and we were guided through the process by Brenda, who was very helpful and professional at her job. We really felt the products at FBS suited our needs so were very happy to find them after researching online as we had not heard of this company previously. Brenda assisted us in the initial part of the mortgage process and was reliable and has good knowledge. We would recommend FBS to others for mortgages, particularly where you need a 'personal touch' as some of their mortgage products are unique and very good for individual circumstances as we found they do listen to customers needs and try to help. Fantastic service today!

Brenda went the extra mile. We made a very large payment today using our savings only to find that because of the Jubilee celebrations we would not know if the money had arrived until after the Jubilee celebrations. Brenda understood that we would be left worrying about it for several days. So she contacted the finance team and told them our concerns and everybody responded speedily to confirm payment had arrived. We can now relax and toast the Queen and Brenda!
