Tom Walton made a difficult application simple

Data Protection they call it - Madness !

NO common sense, initiative OR room for discretion. How many questions do they require for god's sake ... and it worsens, month on moth, year on year. Who on this crazy earth makes these decisions, writes the "rules" and decides what is to come next! We, as customers of any institution deserve more. Not against d.o.b. OR any personal asks BUT it has got so crazy, it's unreal. A final word on the subject, most EVERYONE feels the same, be it friends, family, colleagues .... you name it! Oh ... & they ALL know my name, first line address, post code + some, my date of birth & who I bank with - so what's the point of asking the obvious ........ criteria applied currently is annoyingly pointless, frustrating & my experience of today should be "lessons learnt", taken on board & not be replicated. UPDATE (07/11/2022 - 20:01:31) - Simply read the BAD reviews ..... & just look at their response, especially on the WB issue - apart from the "Blank tickets" that I later discovered, the FCA - yet another incompetent institution need to ACT on this one ... 0/10 what a pathetic response!! Instant good telephone advice

My phone call was answered instantly. Your adviser not only answered all my questions clearly but gave worthwhile advice on filling in the online application form. And, the interest rates were good. Reviewed on: 7th November 2022

Ok but awaiting Verification code.

Good rates and customer service

Beyond contemptible.

Say they will return funds same day - Always take two days. Avoid unless prepared to endure dismal service and broken promises. Reviewed on: 25th October 2022

If a withdrawal instruction is received by 3pm on a working day, we will process the payment the same day and the receiving bank will receive the funds no later than the end of the following working day. This is clearly set out in our terms and conditions and online. Response date: 16th November 2022

Easy to Use

I've had an ISA with the company for 8 years. The interest rate isn't always the highest, but it is in the mix. It is very easy to manage the account online and there have been no issues with the account. Reviewed on: 12th October 2022

One of the absolute WORST building societies I have dealt with

The staff at family Building society appear to make it their ambition to make a simple matter as difficult as they can. A good reputation takes years to attain, a bad one seconds with a few click of a mouse. Reviewed on: 11th October 2022
