I'm paying for the Tide plus service, which is supposed to give telephone based support. What actually happens is that you ring and someone takes a message that gets answered by email on the app at some point in the future. They can never deal with the queery on the phone. very poor service. Reviewed on: 12th August 2024

Pause & closed my account without any explanation.

They paused my account without any explanation. It has now been closed with no explanation. I have had an email to say give me your account details and we will send you the money in the account less fees within 7 days. I emailed my details along with a copy of a bank statement of the bank account I want them to put the money in. I emailed for an explanation to which they replied I need to log into my account (which they closed that I no longer have access to) to speak to them in chat??????? I replied to ask how I do this when I cant access it anymore and the email reply was "in the chat we have asked for your bank details so please reply to this email with them." I have already sent a copy, what shambles they are??? I have lost business, customers have wanted their money back which I couldn't give them as they paused my account so the customer reported us for fraud and slander us all over social media, (we told the customer they would have their money back in full once this sorry state of affairs had been sorted with tide but this wasn't good enough so they insisted on fraud & slanderous accusations, we have proof they we agreed to a full refund once the account problems had been sorted). I will be reporting this to the police and financial ombudsman. STAY AWAY from this bank. They will take your money and never return it. As someone said before, your business and livelihood will be ruined if you bank with these thieves. Our Christmas and New Year was ruined as I wasn't able to work or make any money. It is criminal, we are trying to do what we can to pay bills but we are now in debt because of this and our business is ruined. Reviewed on: 10th January 2024

I am disappointed with Tide Bank's service.

I am disappointed with Tide Bank's service. I've been attempting to open a bank account and order a POS system for my fast-food startup for two months. Despite submitting all requested documents, I face daily requests for the same evidence. They persistently refuse to grant me a bank account, creating unnecessary hurdles for my business. It's incredibly frustrating, and it seems they are uninterested in supporting startups, despite my earnest efforts and compliance with their requirements. Worst bank account

Worst service I ever had.Tide made a payment to someone without me consent.When I contacted tide they replied that the third party showed us invoice.If someone show invoice will tide pay them without account holder permission??anyone know where to complain and what to do any help will be really appreciated thank you. Rubbish service

Disappointing Experience with Tide Bank

I must say that my experience with Tide Bank has been nothing short of a nightmare. This is by far the worst bank I have ever encountered, and I feel compelled to share my frustrations. First and foremost, I lost my card and promptly reported it to the bank. However, when I discovered that someone had used my card for two unauthorized transactions, Tide Bank showed no interest in helping me recover my money. Their lack of support in such a critical situation was extremely disheartening. Another glaring issue with Tide Bank is their absence of a notification service. Most other banks offer real-time notifications for card transactions, providing customers with peace of mind and security. Regrettably, Tide Bank falls short in this aspect, leaving their customers vulnerable to potential fraud. Furthermore, their handling of direct debit notifications is utterly inadequate. It seems like they do not prioritize informing their customers about incoming debits, which can lead to unexpected deductions from accounts. The customer service experience at Tide Bank is abysmal. If you have a complaint and decide to reach out via message, be prepared to wait nearly 48 hours for a response. This kind of delay is simply unacceptable, especially when urgent issues need attention. To top it all off, Tide Bank blocked a transfer from a company that had paid me for my work, causing significant inconvenience. Their excuse? A vague explanation about a "system issue." Waiting nearly two days to access my hard-earned money due to their internal problems was incredibly frustrating. In summary, I strongly advise anyone considering Tide Bank to think twice and explore alternative banking options. My experience has been marred by a lack of support, security features, and efficient customer service. Tide Bank is a financial institution to avoid at all costs. Appauling Service - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Appalling Service... my account has now been out of action for 40 days and i cant get to my money. Despite numerous messages and requests for a call from a manager (which I still haven't had), It's still not resolved.. Simply get the same useless rabbited responses from nameless individuals.. no customer service.. No care... nothing at all… Reviewed on: 26th June 2023

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is got to be the worst company to deal with. Keeps freezing my account for no reason. Staff have not got a clue what to do. You mail them and they take all day to get back to you but they do not help you. Reviewed on: 21st June 2023
