Challenging the status quo

An ethical bank. Sounds like an oxymoron yet Triodos is really showing up the competition by providing transparent and strictly ethical lending. Knowing your money is not being invested into dodgy dealings such as arms, tobacco or big pharma is great but Triodos go a step further and actively show you the projects your money helps support all from within a well thought out app. The real kicker for me has been the stellar customer service. It's almost disarming having a well trained and helpful actual person pick up the phone after just a couple rings. I've not yet been put on hold and every query has been resolved swiftly and courteously. Bravo. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

Ethical and helpful

I was recommended by my financial adviser to choose Triodos for my current account since I wanted to find a bank that wasn't investing in weapons or tobacco. There aren't any actual banks - everything is done online and you get a very pretty card to pay with, which has a neat strapline motto. Triodos is very hot on security - maybe a bit OTT with their rather complicated online banking sign-in and payment system - they will contectyou instantly if they suspect fraudulent activity. The only downside is that some companies still don't recognise the card for contactless payments and you have to tap in your PIN as in the old days. Reviewed on: 14th December 2019

An ethical bank I can trust

I have had a savings account with Triodos for several years. I was delighted when they introduced current accounts and opened one immediately. They are efficient. Inspiring banking!

Love getting the Triodos news and feeling connected to all the great sustainability causes Triodos (my money!) supports. I feel my banking aligns well with my social & environmental outlook. The practicalities of banking also work well for me. A great experience so no hesitation to recommend. In fact I take any opportunity to shout out there is another place to keep your money! Tries to make finance something positive and not just a money making machine

Products are good and provide effective communication and charges are fair which is the core of what anyone wants from a bank account.
