A bank I trust and admire

I have held a Current Account at Triodos for about 15 years and feel very safe when using it. The login procedure uses a digipass that is easy to use and generates a different set of numbers on every occasion. Login also requires entering 3 letters from a security word. These procedures seem much more secure than the login methods at three other banks that I've used in the past. Once online I like the clarity of the online displays especially in the format introduced a couple of years ago. Transferring between accounts and making payments, using a list of previous payees, is simple and satisfying. The procedures for confirming payments made online is rather more complex and time consuming but again create the impression that Triodos is concerned with ensuring the security and privacy of my current account. That Triodos is a respected ethical bank adds further to my reason for banking with it. In all, I am not just satisfied but feel safe and justified in using this account. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025

A no-brainer to be with Triodos

I've found Triodos to be very 'down the line' with their communication and online banking facilities. I also like that they're trying to buck the trend by approaching the financial industry from a different, more ethical angle. Indeed, the latter was my main reason for switching to them from Barclays (Europe's largest fossil fuel investor). Money talks, so one thing we can do is decide where to keep our money and, for me, it's a no-brainer to be with Triodos. Reviewed on: 4th March 2025
