Ethical bank with all the benefits!

I've been with Triodos for over a decade now and it's my main account for everything. The customer service is exceptional, you actually get to talk to human beings (!) instead of a machine with automated, generic, unfocused responses. There's options to invest in ethical companies through Triodos, all of which is done through the same dashboard as your current account and savings, making it easy to see everything you have. Whilst the interest rates are modest, the fact you can actually get things done efficiently, and that you're banking with people who are actively and purposely making a difference in the world - no question whatsoever for me. They have been absolutely wonderful from the moment I moved by current account to them. I want an ethical bank account

An ethical choice of bank

I like its ethical stance and am happy to pay a small monthly fee rather than costs being funded by, for example, overdraft charges. The recent improvements to the app have been appreciated; I especially like that I can view messages through it rather than having to log on to the website. Reviewed on: 20th March 2026
