Clarity in Personal Banking

Excellent service from the ethical leader

I switched my current account to Triodos from Smile (Co-Op) a few years ago and haven't regretted it for a moment - the account is easily & elegantly managed online, if a telephone chat is ever required it is quickly & cheerily answered by one of the team, and you can be secure in the knowledge that your money is being managed for the sustainable benefit of planet & people ;-) Reviewed on: 16th January 2024

Sleep easy with ethical banking!

I have only had to contact customer services a couple of times for advice - they were very swift with their response and very helpful. I love the fact that I can see exactly what and who Triodos invest in on their website. they have helped projects in my local area. I sleep easier knowing they do not fund anything unethical or that would be damaging. Reviewed on: 16th January 2024

Triodos deserves a Best Bank Award

We have banked with Triodos for over 7 years and it has always been excellent. They are everything a bank should be - great customer service, first rate communication about how they/we can be a force for good, ethically driven and focussed. I recommend them whole heartedly! I like that my money is not funding wars

I like knowing my money is not being used to fund wars and the oil and arms industries. I don’t have much money, but I can use it to “vote” by banking ethically. The small monthly fee is worth it. Only thing I miss is being able to pay cash into my account. I’d also like a breakdown of finances and the ability to see my income vs expenditure in the app. Currently statements can only be viewed online, not in the app, and the online login is much harder for me because my keypads doesn’t work correctly or I’ve forgotten memorablem information so I can never see my monthly expenditure and work out budgeting. I’m sure a quick call to customer services would enable me to login but I’d rather have the option to see it in the app. N26 have an awesome app but are not available in the UK and I’m not sure how ethical they are. Look nowhere else for truly sustainable banking.

If you're concerned about ethical and sustainable banking, this is as good as it gets. Yes, we pay monthly. That's a transparent, honest and small amount with no unneeded bloat products attached. Reviewed on: 16th January 2024
