You can manage your account via an app and there’s a Bristol-based contact team if you need support. Triodos don’t offer an overdraft facility or immediate faster payments. You’ll get text message alerts to help you manage your money and online statement.

Ethical

Unlike almost every other bank. Somewhere I feel my money is doing good. Reviewed on: 15th January 2022

No nonsense easy to use ethical banking

Does all the things you expect of a current account, a small monthly fee, no added extras that you don’t need anyway, an app that works and allows for 2 factor authentication - a big improvement on the old smart cards. All this knowing that it’s a small bank with impeccable ethics, and, should you need to use it, first class customer service. It’d get a 10/10 if it just had Apple Pay. Next year maybe? Good ethical bank!

I chose to move to Triodos because I wanted a bank which didn’t support industry which is bad for the planet. They work effectively as a bank and supported the moving process really well. Reviewed on: 6th April 2023

Real ethical values from real people

At Triodos you talk to customer service staff who are based in the UK, not in an anonymous call room miles away. The assistance is personalised and positive. Triodos has authentic sustainable and ethical values. As far as I know it is the only such bank to offer a personal current account as well as an array of options for saving, and all its accounts are covered by the financial services guarantee. Ultimate example of greenwashing

A for-profit bank that has abandoned it's core principles and grown well beyond it's ability to sustain caring about, or maintaining basic customer service for, it's customers. Triodos trades on being the sustainable option - but sustainability isn't just about not polluting - it's people and welfare too. Ethics is something that a lot of businesses seem to lack nowadays. I sleep better knowing that Triodos Bank is ha positive impact investor and puts my savings to a good use instead of financing companies that have made little or no progress in transitioning their operating models to meet the minimum of the required ESG standards.
