A great ethical choice

I was looking for an ethical alternative to Smile after they got taken over by hedge funds. Switching over was easy (I did mine manually rather than using the Current Account Switching Service). The mobile application and website work well. Using the mobile app to authorise payments is a great idea. Literally the only thing missing is Apple Pay. Reviewed on: 19th January 2022

Great bank with good transparency

I love my current account with Triodos, I do pay a fee towards having it but I know what that fee goes towards. It works just as well as any other current account I have had and I know my money is doing good while it is with them through savings accounts and investments. Reviewed on: 19th January 2022

The first bank to make me feel good about using them

I have banked with major UK high st banks in the past and was always left feeling under appreciated, exploited and rarely felt anything positive towards them. Enter Triodos, a truly sustainable bank that questions your ethics as a personal and business customer, is transparent about what they do, offers amazing customer service and genuinely feels like they want the world to be a better place. Very satisfied

6 months ago I switched from HSBC to Triodos after learning how HSBC invest in fossil fuels, even since the Paris agreement. We try our hardest at home and make sacrifices to be as eco friendly as possible which can seem pointless when £billions are being spent by these leading banks to support the climate crisis. Triodos has handled the switch perfectly, the app is great and I look forward to introducing more family and friends to make the switch and make a difference. Reviewed on: 19th January 2022

Good banking

The banking sector is there to undertake an essential function in facilitating the financing of business from the savings of individuals. This should therefore be transparent and reflect the kinds of investments that savers and society most wants/needs. Triodos's approach to openness, and proper community banking means that they seem to be one of the only banks that have not evolved into a self-serving profit centre instead.
