Review of the Triodos Bank, Saver:

Decent rates, ethical banking.

I started with a regular saver which had decent rates at the time. When it matured, it switched to an on-line saver. I kept my standing order to save regularly to Triodos and opened a Saver Plus which pays a higher rate than the normal on-line saver, so I have 2 accounts with them. the Saver Plus has limited withdrawals, so prevents me from overspending and the normal saver is one I can tap into when running short of funds. They increase the rates as the market rises, which saves me having to continually shop around for a decent rate. They are also an ethical bank, which makes me happy. Reviewed on: 16th January 2024

User friendly and ethical

The app is really easy to use and all communication with the bank has been simple. The best thing is knowing our savings are not funding unethical companies and are instead doing something positive. Interest rates might not be as high as elsewhere but they're pretty good rates, and it's an opportunity to make a positive social contribution. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2025

Triodos Bank has kidnapped the savings of people like me who were conned into loaning them money to “invest” in Depository Recepits. After a period of two years when Triodos denied holders of DRs the opportunity to sell their investment, they created the most ludicrously over-complicated trading system. As soon as the trading system was launched the value of my holding dropped by over 60%. Triodos has made no comment at all to DR holders to explain this. I thought I was invested in a sustainable ethical bank. Beware! Reviewed on: 25th March 2024
