Vanquis offer a balance transfer and purchase credit card.

Vanquis offer 0% for purchases and balance transfers for a set period of time. You will be charged a fee for any balance transfers. When the offer period on the card ends, any outstanding balance will be charged at a standard variable interest rate.

Would not help someone is crisis

My circumstances have changed in the next few years due to disability, anxiety and partner left me etc, and especially the cost of living crisis has not helped. I called vanquis to ask for help, said that I could pay them £50 a month rather than the minimum payment which seems to have increased exponentially compared to my other credit cards. I have never missed a payment in the 8 years I have had a credit card with them. They said they would, but then didn't, instead passed me to a company called Payplan who wants me to relinquish all credit I may have available to me. I would have thought vanquis would rather have something rather than nothing from me. But obviously I am now going to have to have my credit rating affected because of their idiocy. It has made me feel as though I want to kill myself. Thanks vanquis. Reviewed on: 16th November 2022

Easy to apply

A card was sent after filling in a form, pre loaded with £500. I got into a bit of a mess understanding the pay back times so did pay more than I should have. Fine if you need money fast. Be careful with the small print. Reviewed on: 20th July 2022

Easy to use app

I have held a Vanquis card for some time and overall I am very happy. The app is easy to use, and security when using the card has recently been improved. The only thing I would say is that I rarely get offers - ie balance transfer offers etc. That would be an added bonus. Overall - very happy. Reviewed on: 8th July 2022

Brilliant

Customer service at Vanquis are amazing and so helpful I was given a 650£ limit when every other company declined me. Vanquis gave me a chance and I was really grateful. Reviewed on: 18th June 2022

Cynical and unhelpful

Avoid like the Plague. Cynically ruin your credit rating and point blank refuse to listen at all after an honest mistake with payments going through while I was serving in the gulf. Needlessly unhelpful. Avoid. I'm sure they'll trot out some robot-esque explanation. You've been warned. Avoid them at all costs Reviewed on: 3rd May 2022

Customers not well treated

I’ve had a credit card (£1000 limit) and loan from Vanquis, never missed a payment on either, cleared my card more than once, never any issues. Out of the blue and without warning they slashed my credit limit from £1000 to £600, for what reason? I never was told. Absolutely awful customer treatment. Reviewed on: 2nd May 2022
