Vanquis offer a balance transfer and purchase credit card.

Vanquis offer 0% for purchases and balance transfers for a set period of time. You will be charged a fee for any balance transfers. When the offer period on the card ends, any outstanding balance will be charged at a standard variable interest rate.

Vanquis are an excellent company, they are very helpful when I'm using my credit card, they let me know how I'm doing via the app on my phone. They make sure I know my limit and how much I've spent. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Good for improving your rating but poor service

I always pay off my credit on time and reliably. At points, I have had to depend on my card to get through certain periods. The issue I have had with vanquis were the frequent blocks to my card. It did not only happen once, leading to long painstaking calls to customer service to verify myself. The thing is, my activity was never suspicious which led me to the belief that some profiling was at hand. My record in all senses of the word is clean, so sometimes I felt that the blocks were unnecessary. Given that I needed the credit for day to day use, it was frustrating. Also, the Vanquis app (until recently) was quite poor, that has since changed. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Had a refund from an outside company paid back onto my Vanquis credit card. Despite 5 ( yes FIVE) phone calls requesting this be paid into another bank current account I’m still waiting 19 days later and have opened an official complaint.Theur South African call centre do not know the meaning of customer service. This bank is a scammer!

This bank is a scammer! Never to be trusted I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the way Vanquis has handled my credit card account, a suspected fraudulent transaction, and my formal complaint. My credit card has not been used since August 2025, when I paid the balance in full. After that, my card was blocked and I requested a replacement card twice, between September 2025 and November 2025. No replacement card ever arrived. Despite this, a £7 Transport for London (TfL) charge dated December 2025 appeared on my statement. I did not make this transaction. The card has not been used since August. I contacted Vanquis by phone on 28/01/2026 to challenge this charge as fraudulent. I was told clearly that I would receive a call back within 3 working days. Today is 10/02/2026. No one has called me. This was not the first time I was given false assurances. I have since called again and have once more been given excuses instead of solutions. Your customer service team does not understand or know how to deal with fraud. I have even been told that it is my responsibility to contact TfL to recover the money, which is completely unacceptable. I have not used this card since August 2025, and any unauthorised charge should be handled by Vanquis, not pushed onto the customer. I have contacted their complaints by email, and no responses. This bank/credit card provider is a scammer. To make matters worse: - I have emailed the complaints department - I have received no response What is the point of having a complaints department if emails are ignored and promises are not kept? Vanquis has: - Failed to send a replacement card after multiple requests - Failed to properly secure my account - Failed to handle a suspected fraudulent transaction - Failed to call back as promised - Failed to respond to written complaints This is by far the worst customer service experience I have had with a financial company. I have completely lost trust in Vanquis and would never recommend them to anyone. I will contact be contacting Financial Ombudsman Service, as I have written many complaints about this bank and they did not sort out any of my problems and they lie and they let other people use your card. Mixed Experience with Vanquis Credit Card!

I have had a Vanquis credit card for some time, and my experience has been a mix of positives and challenges. The card helped me build my credit score when used responsibly. The application process was straightforward, and I was approved relatively quickly. I had an issue in the past where my account was blocked unexpectedly. I was asked to provide bank statements from another account I hold due to a money transfer, which caused delays and frustration. The customer communication during that period could have been clearer or more supportive. While the Vanquis credit card can be useful for building or improving your credit, my experience with account blocking and documentation requests was stressful and took effort to resolve. I would advise others to be prepared to provide supporting documents and to stay on top of communications with customer service. Reviewed on: 24th January 2026
