Easy to open and manage account. The interest rates are low though. Better rates are reserved for locals. It is difficult to increase the customer base this way. Reviewed on: 18th January 2026

Excellent and trustworthy service

I have found from the moment I decided to open an account with Vernon, the experience has been so easy and well managed. I am kept up to date regularly with my account and the process of accessing funds is really straightforward. I feel really reassured that my savings are with an organisation I can trust. 3 generations

having to start all over again late in life it was tough getting a mortgage after buying my brothers out of the family home but the vernon offered me a competitive rate had always saved with the vernon as a child as did the rest of the family my gran bought this house in the late 30s not her husband passed on eventually to dad who also re mortgaged the property for improvements . and then me so 3 generations of saving and mortgage's over the years have always found to be competitive friendly yes they cannot match some of the bigger rates that others offer and perhaps are not as modern on the way they do some things but the are local for local people and do get involved with community i would recommend the Vernon as honest and strightforward Reviewed on: 16th January 2026
